ACDC vs Iron Man 2: Projection Mapping

ACDC Vs Iron Man 2 – Architectural Projection Mapping on Rochester Castle from seeper on Vimeo.
It seems projection mapping is becoming the next big thing and the guys from Seeper are right at the front of it. After just completing a great project for Nokia, Seeper worked with Sony to help promote the new ACDC/Iron Man 2 soundtrack at Rochester Castle.
What makes this so special, is the building is actually an old castle and with that comes all sorts of architectural elements and design challenges. Once you see the quality of the 3D graphics being projected, you’ll be wowed by the creative use of the building & the way it all came together.

Luzinterruptus has made an other critical street art lighting piece. Criticism, of a humorous tone, at the lack of green spaces in large contemporary cities. With the installation ‘Packaged vertical garden’, we wanted to promote the preservation of urban greenery, because if we continue to eradicate it from public spaces or reducing it to inaccessible vertical faces, the only form of contact with nature will be in supermarket refrigerators, packaged with expiry dates. Tree with glowing shoes in Richmond

          Glowing shoe in a tree

“These glowing shoes have been spotted around town in Richmond, Virginia, at least 12 pairs. The shoes are hung like ordinary shoes that are thrown over a power line, only these are only found in bare trees. Not really sure what the meaning behind it all is but they sure are peaceful. Each shoe has a small solar panel attached to the heel and they come alive as the sun goes down. The light that glows from within also flickers like a campfire. Every pair seen is a pair of mens, black dress shoes. One other thing is that they all have a gold anchor moniker on the heel.” by Alice, source: Wooster Collective
