    [posted by Donald®]

    Design by a lighter

So at typography class, we were asked to create type with material we had never used. it could be anything. so my teammate, eduardo lovo, came up with the idea of creating helvetica with fire, and renaming it “hellvetica”. This is our final presentation, done with a camera and a lighter and a lot of patience.

      [posted by Benz Roos]

Allow Spine TV to introduce Chris Bracey & Bill Elwood master neon sign makers. Chris & Bill talk about some of the famous signs they’ve made as well as the manufacturing process which hasn’t changed much since the 1930′s.

In this film we also see Chris Bracey installing the largest neon sign in the country on the roof of Selfridges in London. Chris Bracey’s father and Bill Elwood installed the first ever neon ‘Mobil’ in Europe in 1952. source SpineTV

        Neon clock

        Neon clock

A 8′x8′ word clock that tells the story of passing time.
Text co-written with Emilie Grenier, inspired by a text by German poet Herman Hesse (“Eloge de la viellesse). At any given time, 3 words are lit up, one for the hour, one for the minute and one for the second, endlessly re-writing new sentences for every second that passes. Check out the site of the artist some nce are to been seen there…
