Ultra thin Oled fixture 'Lightleafs' by Valentina Trimani
Valentina Trimani has designed this O-led bookmark fixture. The bookmark provides just enough light to read a book in the dark. Really nice simple and use full concept for the O led technology. source: designboom

Sony’s new O-LED screen
[posted by Benz Roos]
Sony is showing off a new 4.1″ rollable OLED display at SID 2010. The new display has a 423×240 resolution (121ppi) with 16.8 million colors and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It’s only 80 um thick.
The video shows how fast and weirdly the O-LED industry is developing. I think that most of the O-LED light fixtures are quit boring compared to this! It also show the real opportunity for the use of O-LED technology! So in the future we’ll just have roll-out your light fixture if you need a bit more light on your desk. source:o-led info -

Let thy glorious light ever shine upon it, by Jim Richardson

A colleague send me a link of a the website of Jim Richardson. Jim has made photos of light pollution in the sky for National Geographic magazine. Worth to have a look at his photos to realize that light pollution should be a premier concern for lighting design. source: earthfirst, national geographic
